George Henry Bass began his mission in 1876 to simply make the very best shoe he could using the finest materials available. At their factory in Maine, USA, they produced the very first penny loafer in 1936 after taking inspiration from a Norwegian farm shoe and dubbed their creation the ‘Weejun’. Their shoes have an iconic look that has been enjoyed by gentlemen around the world for generations.
