Red Wing's 48-inch Taslan boot laces are produced to the same factory specification used in all Red Wing boots at the point of manufacture. Taslan construction — developed in the United States in the mid-twentieth century — involves drawing nylon yarn through a water jet to produce a textured, softened cord with the appearance and feel of cotton but the tensile strength of nylon. Red Wing sources these laces from one of the few remaining American manufacturers still using the original Taslan process.

The Tan & Gold colourway is matched to the natural tones of Oro Legacy and Amber Harness leathers — the warm amber shades that predominate in Red Wing's most popular boot styles. At 48 inches, the lace is the correct length for all Red Wing six-eyelet boots including the Moc Toe, Iron Ranger, and Shop Moc Oxford.
