The soft, high-density nylon shell and lining enclose 95% down and 5% feather filling. YKK zips at the front and side slits allow the layer to open around a longer shirt or reach a trouser pocket, with patch pockets at the waist. Cotton piping finishes the edges. A storage bag keeps the vest together when it is not being worn, making it straightforward to carry an extra layer without committing to a heavier jacket.
