Reno'Mat

Reno'Mat is the reset product in the Saphir Médaille d'Or system — the tool that returns a shoe's surface to a clean, stripped state when the accumulated layers of wax and polish have built up to the point where new products no longer bond correctly. The symptoms that indicate Reno'Mat is needed: polish that buffs out to a patchy finish, water that no longer beads on the surface, or a heavy, plastic-like layer on the toe box that has lost its natural depth.

Used correctly — applied in small sections with a cotton cloth, worked in quickly, and never allowed to dry on the surface — Reno'Mat removes years of accumulated product in a single application. The leather beneath is then dry and stripped, which is why the immediate application of Rénovateur is essential. The fully prepared, freshly stripped leather then accepts new cream and wax products more efficiently and bonds the polish layers more permanently.
