The Takibi Herringbone Vest from Snow Peak is part of the Takibi collection — a line of outerwear specifically designed for the campfire. The word Takibi (焚き火) means campfire in Japanese, and each piece in the collection is made from inherently flame-resistant materials that won't melt, drip, or catch easily under exposure to embers and open flame. The herringbone weave adds structure and texture to a vest that would otherwise read as purely functional.

The flame-resistant properties are inherent to the cotton blend fibre — they survive machine washing without degradation and do not require re-treatment over the life of the garment. In black, the vest reads as an everyday field gilet — clean enough for a city jacket, practical enough for a full camp day.
