Veja redirected its advertising budget into traceable sourcing and fairer wages when the brand launched in Paris in 2004. The Campo CFL uses bovine leather from Rio Grande do Sul tanned without chromium salts — a process that uses around 40% less water than conventional tanning. White leather upper with Natural at the sole and tongue. Made in Brazil.

Product Details

The Campo uses ChromeFree leather — bovine hides from Rio Grande do Sul tanned without chrome, heavy metals or hazardous acids. The simplified tanning process uses around 40% less water and 80% less salt than conventional methods.

Suede panels trim the upper alongside the main ChromeFree leather. Amazonian rubber makes up the outsole. Lining is 100% recycled polyester; laces organic cotton throughout.

Care & Origin

• Remove surface dirt after each wear with a soft brush or dry cloth

• Apply a leather cream or conditioner periodically to keep the upper supple and prevent cracking

• Allow to dry naturally away from direct heat sources — never force-dry near a radiator

• Use cedar shoe trees to maintain the shape during storage

• For water or salt marks, clean gently with a damp cloth and re-condition once dry
