The Veja Urca is built around C.W.L. — a vegan material made from organic cotton canvas coated with corn starch and ricinus oil resins. It provides the appearance and resistance of leather without using any animal product.

The Amazonian rubber outsole is compounded with mineral silica and recycled rubber for durability. Lining is 100% recycled polyester; laces organic cotton. Veja have no advertising budget — all savings are reinvested in ethical supply chain partnerships across Brazil.

• Remove surface dirt after each wear with a soft brush or dry cloth

• Apply a leather cream or conditioner periodically to keep the upper supple and prevent cracking

• Allow to dry naturally away from direct heat sources — never force-dry near a radiator

• Use cedar shoe trees to maintain the shape during storage

• For water or salt marks, clean gently with a damp cloth and re-condition once dry
